Logistics Supervisor/Manager

Our client is an leading Waffle Pod manufacturer for the residential and commercial construction industry. Due to company growth they have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor / Manager to join their team in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs.

Logistics Supervisor / Manager will be responsible for:

• To manage a Logistics teams in the safe, effective and efficient supply of products to building sites in accordance with company standards.
• Purchasing of raw materials in a timely and cost effective manner
• Managing an experienced team to ensure they communicate with clients to get the job completed
• Allocating jobs to crews
• Open and consistent communication with clients
• Reviewing quality checks on projects to ensure they are on track and completed to their high standards

The successful candidate will have:

• 3+ years experience in a similar role within a fast pace warehouse
• Certificate 3 in Transport & Logistics (preferred)
• Diploma in Management or Logistics (desireable)
• Forklift licence and 1st Aid Level 2
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing staff
• An ability to be highly organised and work to this standard on a consistent basis
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong initiative and problem solving abilities
• Strong administration and reporting skills
